Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which in Europe is known as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, is a 1989 platform video game, released by Nintendo to NES and subsequently converted for other platforms.
The game was developed by Konami and distributed in Europe by Palcom Software, while in North America it was Ultra Games that took care of the distribution. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is basically the first videogame dedicated to the famous ninja turtles: is based on the popular 1987 cartoon, which in Italy soon became a cult phenomenon among kids.
Although the game is based on the TV series, the cover of the game uses a cartoon illustration, drawn by Michael Dooney. In 1990 the game was converted for home computers of the time, but the NES version remains unsurpassed! If you can't wait to embody these martial arts legends, we leave you to the codes and tricks to complete the game.
Believe it or not, the famous KONAMI CODE also works in this game. It won't give you extra lives but it will grant you extra Continues. Simply enter the following code in the title screen:
UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, START.
You will have 4 Continues instead of the classic 2.
Find a front door that has a slice of pizza right at the top of the screen, go in, grab the pizza and go out. Go back and you will find another slice of pizza. Repeat the operation until your ninja turtles are completely refreshed.
When you get the boomerangs, throw up to 3 in the air, then switch turtles and let them catch them. So even those characters will be able to launch them, even without having collected them.
