Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, also known only as Super Empire Strikes Back, is a scrolling shooter video game developed in 1993 for the console Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
This is the second SNES game based on the Star Wars saga: the first is Super Star Wars and logically is based on the cult films shot in the 80s. Its sequel, however, is Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, which is based on the movie "Return of the Jedi". The selectable characters are different (Luke Skywalker, Ian Solo, and Chewbacca) and the driving levels created in Mode 7 appear to be almost in 3D.
The controls are also similar to the first chapter, with respect to which the possibility of performing a double jump has been added. Another difference with the predecessor is that in Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back each character has a primary and a secondary weapon.
In one of the levels set on the planet Dagobah, Luke Skywalker also acquires the power of the Force that he can use in the following levels. The lightsaber, on the other hand, allows Luke to deflect the blows received. Needless to say, the final boss to defeat is Dart Vader.
